Wynnum Redlands Budgerigar Society Inc, originally founded in the 1960s as Wynnum District Budgerigar Society, is dedicated to promoting fellowship, education, and active participation among its members. Moreover, the society hosts monthly meetings, bird assessments, and two major budgerigar shows annually. The society sends monthly email updates to members and organizes zone selection shows for the National competition.
