Australian National Budgerigar Council (ANBC)

Through education, research, and advocacy, the ANBC plays a pivotal role in advancing knowledge, best practices, and the appreciation of budgerigars. It solidifies its position as the peak body for the Australian budgerigar community.

More About the ANBC & It’s Functions

The ANBC is an incorporated body under the laws of the Australian Capital Territory. Its membership comprises seven-(7) state or zone-based budgerigar organisations. The ANBC’s primary function is to annually hold the Trill™ Expert ANBC National Titles. Additionally, it facilitates and coordinates policies for adoption of its member organisations. It enables its member bodies to coordinate cooperative actions on matters on which such bodies agree. This includes show rules, judging and standard, and policies which are of common interest to its member bodies. The ANBC also represents Australian Budgerigar breeders’ interests at international bodies concerning Budgerigars or matters pertaining to international trade in birds, welfare and wellbeing.
