Peter Glassenbury
ANBC Hall of Fame Nomination Service Division Honour Roll for Peter Glassenbury

Peter Glassenbury has been a true stalwart of the fancy and an outstanding servant of the A.N.B.C. Inc., with more than two decades of sustained involvement at the National level. Over this time, Peter has consistently filled the roles where State and Zone representation is essential, becoming a reliable and respected link between his State/Zone and the National body.
Across the past 20 years, Peter’s commitment to the National event has been exceptional. He has missed only two National Shows due to unavoidable work commitments, and in doing so has provided continuity, experience, and steady leadership through changing committees, evolving priorities, and the annual pressures that come with representing a State/Zone at the highest level.
Peter’s service record reflects both breadth and depth. He has served as a Delegate for many years, and has also taken on the demanding responsibilities of Team Carer for his State—roles that require organisation, calm judgment, and a genuine willingness to do the work behind the scenes so others can succeed. Prior to the formation of the Council, Peter served as a Carer seven times, including five occasions as Carer for the State team—demonstrating his long-standing reliability and dedication to the National program.
His contribution to the Standards and judging landscape is equally significant. Peter has represented his State as a Colour & Standards Delegate on 18 occasions by 2016, including seven terms as National Coordinator. His expertise has also been recognised through service as a State/Zone Delegate on 15 occasions, and as National Judges’ Coordinator four times—a role requiring broad respect, strong communication, and a thorough understanding of procedure and governance.
Peter’s technical knowledge and credibility are acknowledged nationally. He has judged the National Show on five occasions—the maximum permitted on a rotational basis—and remains on the ANBC Judges Panel. His profound understanding of the Australian Standard has made him a trusted resource at the National level, and he is regularly sought after for the clarity and comprehensive reviews he provides to the A.N.B.C. In addition, Peter was involved in the rewrite of the Standard, contributing expertise that has had lasting value for judges, exhibitors, and the fancy as a whole.
For his steadfast service, exceptional commitment to representation, leadership across Colour & Standards and judging, and his enduring contribution to the Australian Standard, we submit that Mr. Peter Glassenbury is a most worthy candidate for induction into the A.N.B.C. Inc. Hall of Fame.
