2027 Trill™ Expert ANBC National Championships – Canberra

The 51st Annual Trill™ Expert Australian National Budgerigar Council National Championships will bring Australia’s budgerigar community together in Canberra from 21 to 23 May 2027. Hosted by BSNSW, this prestigious event will be held at The Rex Hotel, Canberra.

One of the most anticipated weekends on the Australian budgerigar calendar, the 2027 ANBC National Championships will showcase some of the best exhibition budgerigars in Australia. These birds will represent states and zones from across the country. The Nationals are about far more than competition. They are an opportunity for breeders, exhibitors, judges and enthusiasts to catch up with old friends. This is also a chance to meet fellow fanciers and celebrate a shared passion for the Australian exhibition budgerigar.

Special Guest – Dr Harry Cooper

Adding something very special to the 2027 Nationals will be the attendance of Dr Harry Cooper. He is a lifelong aviculturist and bird enthusiast. Dr Harry was an ANBC pioneer and instrumental in creating the original National Teams Competition. As one of Australia’s best-known veterinarians, his involvement will provide a wonderful connection between the history of the Nationals and its future.
