HALL OF FAME – HONOUR ROLL DIVISION

Background

  1.  In May 2003 the A.N.B.C. decided to establish a Hall of Fame with an inaugural division of “Breeder Excellence”.  The guidelines were established and eleven fanciers have been inducted into that division as of May 2008.
  2. Agreement was reached at the May 2008 Council Meeting held in Busselton, W.A. To develop a proposal for a division for service to the ANBC.  A proposal was developed and presented to Council in May 2009.    Council referred the proposal to Member Bodies for postal vote by 30 September 2009.   ANBC Member Bodies agreed by majority decision to introduce the Honour Roll Division of the ANBC Hall of Fame.    Following are  guidelines for a  “Honour Roll’ division to recognize exemplary service to the ANBC by an individual over and extended period of time.
  1. The ANBC has established a new division in the Hall of Fame to be called the ‘Honour Roll ’ division. The Honour Roll division is established to recognize exemplary service to the ANBC and in particular the ANBC Annual Championship Show and Associated Events by an individual making a significant contribution to the ANBC over an extended period of time.

Selection Criteria

  1. The selection Criteria used for induction into the ANBC Hall of Fame, Honour Roll division is:
  • Be listed among the “Founding Fathers” of the ANBC in the Official History.  Founding Fathers are acknowledged for foundation activities between 1972 and 1981.   (See the Web site and the Brief History on page 14 of The Standard (2003).  And/Or,
  • Have held Office as an Official of the ANBC.  (ANBC Office Bearers are President, Secretary/Treasurer, Committee Member, Colour and Standard Co ordinator, National Judges’ Co ordinator and Official Historian). And/Or.
  • Held the position of Member Body Delegate to Council. And/Or
  • Held the position of Team Carer.

Selection Process

  1. Council is to determine initial and ongoing quota.
  2. Nominations including a brief summary of achievements against the selection criteria above are required to be submitted by ANBC Member Bodies

To the ANBC Secretary no later than the end of December.  The ANBC Secretary with recommendations and a priority assigned by the ANBC Committee will compile nominations.    The ANBC Secretary will circulate recommendations to Member Bodies no later than 31 January with responses in relation to priority order required back to the ANBC Secretary by the end of February.

  1. Inductees are to be announced and presented with Certificates at the Presentation Dinner on the Sunday evening of the A.N.B.C. Inc National Competition Show. An Honour Roll division page is to be created and loaded onto the ANBC Web site and updated annually by the ANBC Secretary.
