PHOTOGRAPHY

This By-law on Photography is to be read in conjunction with By-law 9 (a) regarding Copyright.

Be guided that all photographs taken at an ANBC venue are taken in accordance with the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth). as amended and this act refers explicitly to the reproduction of work in a material form. (refer 2011 Delegates Minutes)

The use of any State/Zone photographer at an ANBC event must be sanctioned by that State/Zone to take photographs for that individual State/Zones usage where that state/zones usage is seen for the betterment of the hobby. The National Secretary must be informed by the State/Zone to arrange entrance with the Host State/Zone to any allocated or designated area.

An official photographer may be appointed by the ANBC to take photographs of winning birds, or otherwise, exhibited at an ANBC event for the express usage of distributing those photographs to States/Zones to present to their members for the betterment of the hobby. Should any assistance be required by the photographer he/she must advise on this matter to ensure Host State/Zones allocated space is sufficient. This/these appointments can only to be attended through the National Secretary who will inform the Host State/Zone.

This official or State/Zone photography can only be undertaken within a specified timeframe allocated by the host State/Zone immediately after the class judging and before viewing by the general public.

All this photographic material remains the express property of the ANBC and general copyright laws and restrictions remain in place at all times.

It is recommended that the host State/Zone ensure the public are made aware that photographic flashes are not permitted during judging and when birds are displayed in the general viewing area.

Persons attending security in this general viewing area can ensure the public desist from these actions.
