RISK ASSESSMENTS
RISK ASSESSMENTS FOR THE AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL BUDGERIGAR COUNCIL ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWS AND ASSOCIATED EVENTS
General
- Risk assessments are required to be carried out by the Host Member Body in relation to the venue(s) and activities at the ANBC Annual Championship Show and associated events. As the policy in relation to Risk Assessment is legislated at State Level it is incumbent upon the Host State Zone to familiarise themselves with the relevant State legislation. In the case where the venue management carries out the Risk Assessment, the Host State Zone is to request a copy and check to ensure that State Legislative requirements have been met.
- The Host State Zone is required to advise the ANBC Secretary by 1 May of the Risk Assessments carried out and where possible provide a hard copy or assurance that these are held.
- Host States are required to take all steps to mitigate risk to officials, workers, attendees and visitors. Procedures such as regularly sweeping fallen seed from floors in bird holding, traffic, judging and viewing areas is strongly recommended.
Emergency Evacuation Plan
- Host State/Zones are to ensure that venues booked have Emergency Evacuation Plans and that these are well displayed and attendees are briefed on the location of the plan and/or the procedures to be followed in an emergency.
