ANBC Hall of Fame, Breeders Excellence Division Induction: 2004

Henry George is a passionate and dedicated budgerigar breeder with a longstanding commitment to the hobby. Known for his sharp eye for quality and a deep understanding of genetics, Henry has built a strong reputation within the budgie breeding community for producing birds of outstanding type and feather. He has the most wins at the National level of any person in Australia. In addition, Henry holds the record for seven-(7) National wins at one event, in Mandurah WA in 2015. To that end, he is arguably the most successful exhibitor ever.

With years of experience behind him, Henry continues to refine his stud through careful selection and a hands-on approach to breeding. His aviary showcases a range of vibrant colours and strong bloodlines, and his birds consistently hold their own in show cages across the country.

Henry is not only committed to developing top-quality exhibition budgerigars but also to sharing his knowledge with new breeders, helping to keep the hobby thriving for future generations. Whether at club meetings, auctions, or show days, Henry’s enthusiasm, expertise, and friendly nature make him a respected and approachable figure in the budgerigar world.

For more winners, visit the Hall of Fame page.

To qualify for induction into the Hall of Fame, Breeder Excellence Division, an exhibitor must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Win seven (7) classes across any variety, or
