WRBS Winter Auction 2026

The Wynnum Redlands Budgerigar Society Winter Auction 2026 is now underway. It offers budgerigar fanciers the opportunity to secure quality birds from a respected Queensland club auction. Hosted by the Wynnum Redlands Budgerigar Society Inc., this online auction features 18 budgerigars from a strong group of breeders. Breeders include Mark & Rebecca Fellows, Trevor Broadbent, John Boss, Darryl Piper, the O’Callaghan Family, and Russel Sweeper.

The auction commenced on July 6th, 2026, and will conclude on July 13th, 2026, at 8:00 pm AEST. Extended bidding applies if required. Therefore, bidders are encouraged to view the lots early, review the birds on offer, and place their bids before the closing time.

Budgerigar Varieties on Offer

The WRBS Winter Auction 2026 includes a varied selection of budgies suited to a range of breeding goals and exhibition interests. Varieties featured in the auction include Normal Green, Normal Grey Green, Normal Blue, Dominant Pied, Lutino, White Capped, Spangle Double Factor, Cinnamonwing, Recessive Pied, and Golden Faced Blue.

With a balanced mix of colour, variety, and breeder representation, this auction provides an excellent opportunity for fanciers to add new bloodlines. It also allows them to strengthen existing varieties. Additionally, fanciers can purchase birds from experienced breeders within the budgerigar fancy.

About Wynnum Redlands Budgerigar Society

The Wynnum Redlands Budgerigar Society Inc., commonly known as WRBS, was formed during the 1960s. The club was originally established as the Wynnum District Budgerigar Society. Later, it became the Wynnum Redlands Budgerigar Society.

The society has a proud history of promoting fellowship, harmony, and active participation among its members. WRBS aims to support budgerigar breeders and exhibitors through informative meetings, table shows, aviary visits, and education. Club events are also focused on the care, breeding, husbandry, and exhibition of budgerigars.

WRBS also hosts two major budgerigar shows each year, with schedules made available prior to each event. The club is also involved in hosting zone selection shows for the National competition. This gives members the chance to participate at a higher level within the Australian budgerigar fancy.

Club Meetings and Member Updates

Financial members of the Wynnum Redlands Budgerigar Society receive monthly email updates containing the latest club news and information. The society also holds informative monthly meetings, either in a hall setting or through visits to breeders’ aviaries, helping members continue to learn, connect, and improve their birds.
