BSNZ April Report 2026

News from the Budgerigar Society of New Zealand

Peter Thurn ANBC National Judge has accepted an invitation to judge the New Zealand Patronage Show to be held in Oamaru by the North Otago Bird Club on 27th June 2026.

In addition, Craig Buckingham also a new accredited ANBC National Judge will officiate at the Auckland Budgerigar Club Show on 30th May 2026.

The Auckland Budgerigar Club is a dedicated specialist club and conducts a premier budgerigar show every two years, typically attracting in the vicinity of 200–250 entries.

Both events will be live streamed via the BSNZ Facebook page, providing an excellent opportunity for fanciers to follow proceedings from across the Tasman.
