BSSA Auction 12 2026 is now live, offering budgerigar fanciers another excellent opportunity to purchase quality birds from respected BSSA members. This online auction features 17 budgerigars from well-known exhibitors. These include Chris Murphy, Kerry & Marie Murphy, Chris Jones, George England, and Jane Kelb.

The auction runs from June 15 to June 21, 2026, giving buyers a full week to view the birds, consider the pedigrees and place their bids. Furthermore, with a strong mix of varieties available, this event is ideal for breeders looking to strengthen their team. Breeders might also wish to add useful outcrosses, or secure birds from established South Australian bloodlines.

These birds are being sold on behalf of Budgerigar Society of South Australia members. All bird descriptions are provided in good faith by the sellers. In addition, while every effort is made to present the auction accurately, BSSA Inc. is not responsible for any inaccuracies. Any questions regarding bird descriptions should be directed to the relevant seller.

Please note that all bids will remain anonymous throughout the auction, with only your bidder number displayed. Prospective buyers are encouraged to register with a current phone number, as this will assist with communication if you are the successful bidder on any lot.

Buyers should also be aware of each bird’s location before bidding, as freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. In most cases, vendors are willing to transport birds to the airport at no cost to the buyer. Also, vendors may combine with other vendors where possible to help reduce freight costs.

The BSSA is a not-for-profit organisation, and proceeds from this auction go towards promoting the club, supporting its members and helping grow the budgerigar hobby.
