BSSA Auction 18 for 2026 – 19 Quality Budgerigars Now Available

BSSA Auction 18 for 2026 is now underway. This gives budgerigar enthusiasts across Australia another opportunity to purchase quality birds from respected BSSA members. This latest online budgerigar auction features a total of 19 birds. To that end, they are offered by Dave Miller, Ken & Janet Harris, George England and Marie & Kerry Murphy.

The auction commenced on September 7 and concludes on September 13 at 7:00 PM ACST. Extended bidding applies where required.

Budgerigar Varieties Available

BSSA Auction 18 presents an excellent selection of varieties for breeders looking to strengthen their studs or introduce new bloodlines.

Varieties represented in the auction include Cinnamonwings, Normal Grey Greens, Dominant Pieds, Recessive Pieds, Normal Greens, Lacewings, Opalines and Spangles. There are several other varieties featured as well.

With 19 birds available from four BSSA member partnerships and breeders, there is plenty for exhibitors and breeders to consider. This is important before bidding closes.

Supporting the BSSA and the Budgerigar Hobby

All birds in BSSA Auction 18 are being offered for sale on behalf of BSSA members. The Budgerigar Society of South Australia (BSSA) is a not-for-profit organisation. Additionally, proceeds help support the club and the ongoing promotion of the budgerigar hobby.

Bidding remains anonymous throughout the auction, with only each participant’s bidder number displayed.

Freight and Collection Information

Prospective bidders should carefully check the location of each bird before placing a bid. This is important, as freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. Additionally, where possible, vendors can combine birds with other sellers to help reduce freight costs.
