BCT August Report 2026

July has been a quiet month for members in Tasmania. With plenty of snow across the Central Plateau and higher elevations, along with single-digit daytime temperatures, members with indoor breeding facilities may still be breeding.

The three clubs here are all preparing for their annual AGM`s with all members and non-members welcome to attend.

The Council`s focus for the last couple of months has been on finalising plans and birds for the Budgerigar Enthusiasts Day which will be held at the Campbelltown Hall on Saturday August 15th.
Experienced ANBC judges and bird carers Derek Poole and Jim Fletcher will be running a small workshop on bird preparations for shows.

With Bird sales from mainland breeders, club members and the public invited along this has been a growing event here on the Tasmanian calendar.
