BCV March 2026 Report

February saw strong activity across Victoria, with three successful Diploma Shows conducted by Southwestern, Melton & District and Geelong & District. Both Melton and Geelong incorporated UBC Shows alongside their Diploma events, adding further depth and competition to their programs. These shows were well supported and provided exhibitors with valuable early-season opportunities to benchmark their teams as we move further into the 2026 show calendar.

March will see the Victorian show scene step up another level, with a busy run of championship events scheduled across the state.

Proceedings begin on Sunday 1 March, when the BCV conducts its Adult State Championship Show at St Francis Catholic College, 109–141 Bulmans Road, Melton West. This important event will bring together leading adult exhibits from across Victoria as exhibitors compete for State honours. Enquiries can be directed to Rod Turnbull on 0400 354 178.

On Sunday 15 March, Riverina will host its Club Championship at the Barooga Community Centre, Banker Street, Barooga, NSW. Contact Rob Randall on 0438 095 995 for further details.

The following weekend is particularly busy. On Saturday 21 March, United will conduct its Club Championship at Plenty Hall, 21 Memorial Drive, Plenty. Alan Baxter is the contact for this event on 0418 359 217. The very next day, Sunday 22 March, Border will hold its Club Championship at Lavington Hall, 488 Urana Road, Lavington, NSW. Rounding out the month, Ballarat will stage its Club Championship on Saturday 28 March at Brown Hill Hall, Humffray Street North, Ballarat. Simon Meagher can be contacted on 5335 5454 for further information.

With a full calendar of shows ahead, March promises to be an important month for Victorian exhibitors as teams continue to develop and momentum builds toward the State and National level competitions in May.
