BSSA Auction 14 2026

BSSA Auction 14 for 2026 is now underway, offering budgerigar enthusiasts another opportunity to purchase quality birds from respected BSSA members.

The online auction commenced on Monday, July 13 and will conclude on Sunday, July 19 at 7:00 pm ACST, with extended bidding applying where required.

A total of 12 budgerigars are available in BSSA Auction 14, representing a diverse selection of varieties and bloodlines. The birds on offer include Australian Golden Faced, Cinnamonwings, Dominant Pieds, Lacewings, Opalines, Recessive Pieds, Spangles and more.

Bidding and Seller Information

All birds are being offered for sale on behalf of individual BSSA members. Bird descriptions and information have been provided in good faith by each seller.

BSSA Inc accepts no responsibility for any inaccuracies contained within a listing. Any questions or concerns regarding a bird’s description, condition, breeding history or pedigree should be directed to the relevant seller.

Bids will remain anonymous throughout the auction, with only each participant’s bidder number displayed.

Prospective buyers are encouraged to register a current phone number, as this will make the contact process easier for successful bidders once the auction concludes.

Freight and Bird Transport

Buyers should carefully check the location of each bird before placing a bid, as all freight costs and transport arrangements remain the responsibility of the purchaser.

Almost all participating vendors are willing to transport birds to the airport at no additional cost to the buyer. Vendors may also be able to combine birds with those purchased from other sellers, helping reduce overall freight expenses.

Purchasers requiring interstate bird transport should contact an appropriate animal freight company in advance to confirm availability, schedules and pricing.

Any suggested freight providers operate independently and have no formal affiliation with BSSA Inc.

Finally, the Budgerigar Society of South Australia is a not-for-profit organisation. To that end, auction proceeds support the ongoing promotion of the club and the budgerigar hobby.
