Bidding in the auction is simple and secure, with anonymous bidding in place. This means only your bidder number will be visible throughout the process. To ensure smooth communication if you are successful, it is recommended that you register your phone number when signing up.

Buyers should also take note of bird locations, as freight costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. However, most vendors are happy to assist by delivering birds to the airport at no cost. Additionally, they will often combine shipments with other vendors to help minimise freight expenses.

More About the BSSA

As a not-for-profit organisation, all proceeds from BSSA auctions go directly towards supporting the club and promoting the budgerigar hobby. Established on 20 May 1948, the BSSA is the first budgerigar society in South Australia and a proud foundation member of the Australian National Budgerigar Council (ANBC), continuing to serve its members through a modern and progressive approach.
