Paul Bayliss Sale 2

Paul Bayliss Auction 2 opens 27 January and closes 3 February. It offers a quality selection of 16 lots from one of New South Wales’ most respected exhibitors.

This second 32 Auction features a strong mix of varieties. These include Normal Blues, Cinnamon wings, Normal Grey Greens, Spangles and Spangle AOSVs, Spangle Double Factors, Australian Golden Faced, Recessive Pieds, and more. Auction 2 of 3 continues the dispersal of Paul’s birds. To that end, entries were selected from those considered fit and of suitable age by Eric Whitton.

For those who don’t know, Paul Bayliss was an avid budgerigar man. His dedication to the fancy was matched by the quality he consistently presented on the show bench. Between 2017 and 2019, Paul achieved the rare honour of winning four ANBC National Titles. These included two in the Cinnamon wing class, one in Spangle Double Factor, and one in the Spangle Normal class.

Beyond his on-bench success, Paul was a highly regarded member of the Budgerigar Improvement Society (BIS) and served as President/Chairman. He gave generously of his time, knowledge, and leadership. He will be deeply missed by the many people whose studs—and whose enjoyment of the hobby—were strengthened through his involvement and friendship.

A total of three auctions will run over the coming weeks to disperse Paul’s birds. To that end, one remains.
