Presidents Report Oct 2026

As everyone is no doubt now aware, States and Zones supported the motion from South Queensland to establish and implement the formation of an ANBC Events Management Group (EMG). This initiative will certainly address the many long-standing operational and financial challenges and ensure a consistent high standard of expertise in running the Trill™ Expert ANBC National Show, Australia’s premier budgerigar exhibition event.

I do know that NSW appreciate the support, guidance and expertise of some EMG members for the 2027 Trill™ Expert ANBC National Championship hosted by NSW, with the EMG transition fully taking effect from 2028 in Western Australia.

The outcome of the other four motions (Ring Issue Date, ANBC Show Date, Service Hall of Fame for Judges and Normal Class for Olives and Mauves) will be determined at the next ANBC meeting once votes from State and Zones have been received and collated.
