SW NSW Fundraising Auction 2026

South Western NSW Budgerigar Fundraising Auction 2026 – 25 Quality Birds on Offer!

The South Western SW NSW Budgerigar Fundraising Auction 2026 is officially underway, bringing together a quality selection of 25 budgerigars generously made available by club members and supporters to help raise much-needed funds for the South Western NSW Budgerigar Club.

This annual online budgerigar auction commenced on Tuesday, October 13, and concludes on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 8:00 PM Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT). With 50% of the proceeds from each bird going directly to the club, this auction provides an excellent opportunity for budgerigar breeders and exhibitors to secure new bloodlines while supporting the ongoing development of the hobby in regional New South Wales.

25 Budgerigars Featuring an Excellent Range of Varieties

The South Western NSW Budgerigar Auction features 25 birds, offering an interesting variety of colours, mutations and breeding opportunities for enthusiasts across Australia.

Varieties on offer include Cinnamonwings, Dominant Pieds, Lutinos, Normal Blues, Normal Greens, Normal Greys, Normal Grey Greens, Opaline AOSV, Spangle AOSV, Split Clearbodies, Recessive Pieds, Spangles and Yellow Faced Blues.

Whether you are looking to strengthen your existing breeding program, introduce different bloodlines or develop a particular variety, there is plenty of interest in this year’s fundraising auction.

Generous Vendors Supporting the South Western NSW Club

Nine generous vendors have contributed birds to this year’s auction, including Eric Whitton, Steve Barsdell, Dianne Pinney, Mark Chandler, Russell Woods, Tony Butt, Glenn Schiller, Darren Reid and Owen Goldstraw. Their support is greatly appreciated, with 50% of the proceeds helping the South Western NSW Budgerigar Club meet the costs associated with staging its annual exhibition and covering general club operating expenses.

Initiatives such as this are important in helping regional budgerigar clubs remain financially sustainable and continue providing opportunities for breeders and exhibitors to participate in the hobby.

Collection and Freight Arrangements

For the convenience of purchasers, all 25 birds are located in Temora, New South Wales, making collection and freight arrangements easier to coordinate. Freight can also be arranged through Wagga Wagga Airport for interstate purchasers. Eric Whitton recommends Carmel from Aussie Pet Connections for bird transportation arrangements.
